Jan Lukats (born March 2, 1991 in Tallinn , Estonian SSR ) is an Estonian ice hockey player who has been playing again in the Bavarian League for EHC Bad Aibling since 2015 .

Career

Jan Lukats began his career as an ice hockey player in his Estonian hometown at the junior club Purikad Tallinn , for which he made his debut in the Meistriliiga at the age of 16 . In 2008 he moved to Germany, where he first played in the Junior Bundesliga for ESV Kaufbeuren , with which he won the Junior Bundesliga in 2009, and then played for Augsburg EV . Then he was on the ice at HC Landsberg and EHC Bad Aibling for two years in the Bayern League . In 2014 he returned to Estonia for HC Panter Tallinn , for whom he has played in the Meistriliiga ever since. Since 2015 he has been playing again in Bad Aibling.

International

For Estonia , Lukats took part in the U18 World Championships 2007 , 2008 and 2009 in Division II as well as the U20 World Championships in Division I in 2009 and Division II in 2010 and 2011 .

In the senior division, he stood on the ice for his colors at the 2012 World Cup in Division II and rose to Division I with the team from the Baltic States. He also represented his colors in the Olympic qualification for the Winter Games in Pyeongchang 2018 and the Baltic Cup 2017.
