Jan Anatoljewitsch Sawizki ( Russian Ян Анатольевич Савицкий ; English Yan Savitskiy ; born April 29, 1987 in Leninogorsk , Eastern Kazakhstan Oblast , Kazakh SSR , USSR ) is a Kazakh biathlete of Russian origin.
Jan Sawizki started in the Junior European Cup in 2006. In 2007 he took part in his first Junior World Championships in Martell and achieved comparatively good results with 33rd place in the individual, 20 in the sprint and 16 in the pursuit. That is why Sawizki was used shortly afterwards at the Biathlon World Championships 2007 in Antholz in the individual, in which the Kazakh was 83rd. The 2007/08 season brought a victory and a third place in the Junior European Cup. In 2008 he started again at a Junior World Championship in Ruhpolding without achieving the good results of the previous year. The best result was 26th place in the pursuit. In 2008 , Sawizki was then used again at the World Championships, this time in the mixed relay race (17th place). In January 2009, he won the sprint and pursuit titles at the national championships.
In Hochfilzen , Sawizki won the sprint race of the Biathlon World Cup 2009/2010 as the 39th for the first time world cup points. He represented his country at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver. With the season in the line-up of Alexander Tscherwjakow , Sawizki, Dias Keneschow and Alexander Trifonow he achieved his best result in 18th place. In the individual competitions he was 64th in the individual, 39th in the sprint and managed an improvement to the 27th place in the pursuit and was therefore the best Kazakh.
