Jana Husmann

Jana Husmann (* 1973 in Bremen ) is a German cultural scientist and gender researcher .

Life

From 1992 to 2003, Husmann studied cultural studies and gender studies, political science, philosophy, German language and literature at the Humboldt University in Berlin , the University of Bremen and the Brunel University in London . 2008 doctorate she cultural studies on the subject in the subject black and white imagery. Dualistic traditions of thought and the imagination of “race”. Religion - Science - Anthroposophy with the grade summa cum laude . In her dissertation, she dealt extensively with Rudolf Steiner's teaching and racism .

From 2009–2011 she was a postdoctoral fellow at the Graduate School “Gender as a Category of Knowledge” at Humboldt University. In 2010 she was visiting professor at the Center for the Humanities at the City University of New York . In 2012 she coordinated the publication project Fundamentalism and Gender: Scripture - Body - Community , (DFG Research Training Group Gender as a Category of Knowledge ) at Humboldt University. In 2013 she was a research assistant at the chair for public law and gender studies with Susanne Baer at the Humboldt University in Berlin.

From June 2014 to April 2015 she was research coordinator at the Göttingen Center for Gender Studies at the Georg-August-Universität Göttingen . Since May 2015 she has been a consultant and deputy head of the Research and International Affairs department at the FernUniversität in Hagen . Her main research interests include topics from the history of culture, religion and science , gender , racism and anti-Semitism research , religious world views as well as trans and interdisciplinarity .
