Janez Strajnar (born April 20, 1971 ) is a former Slovenian football player in the position of goalkeeper , who now works as a goalkeeper coach .

The 1.80 meter tall goalkeeper Strajnar began his career at NK Domžale (1991/92). This was followed by one season each with Slovan Mavrica Ljubljana and ND HIT Gorica . From 1994 to 2005 he spent his longest career at NK Primorje . In 2005 he moved to NK Domžale, where he played until 2007. For the 2007/08 season he joined Interblock Ljubljana and was active there until the end of the 2009/10 season and was unused for the last time on the bench in autumn 2009.

National team

On March 18, 1997 he played an international match for the Slovenian national team against Austria ; this should remain his only international appearance.
