Janina and the Deeds is a German rock band . It was founded in 2010 in Munich and Berlin by the singer Janina Dietz and the guitarist, producer and member of the Dominoe group , Robert Papst . The band released their first song, Bye Bye Bye, composed by Robert Papst in autumn 2010, which was used in a commercial by the detergent brand Ariel . Robert Papst produced the band.
Band history
Through his USA contacts, Pope made it possible for Janina and the Deeds to play in front of around 10,000 visitors at the "Rock and Pop Masters Festival" in Florida in 2011, the year after the band was founded . In August 2011 he performed at The Central in Santa Monica / Los Angeles CA. The video for the single Dastard Beasts was released in September 2011, directed by Simon Janik. In the same year the band performed with the late Jimi Jamison from Survivor. This also included a gig on January 29, 2011 at the INDRA in Hamburg.
After two years of studio work, the second album called "Two" was released. John Rhino Edwards from Status Quo, Matt Beck from matchbox twenty and Charlie Morgan, ex-drummer from u. a. Elton John, Tina Turner and Paul McCartney co-wrote and played on this album. The single was By Your Side . It went into several charts, such as the German Airplaycharts and iTunes.
