Janusz Leon Wiśniewski

Janusz Leon Wiśniewski (born August 18, 1954 in Toruń , Poland ) is a Polish scientist of chemistry-informatics and physics and writer. Wiśniewski has lived and worked in Frankfurt am Main since 1987 .

Life

Wiśniewski graduated with a master's degree in economics and physics from the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Thorn, received a doctorate in computer science from the Warsaw University of Technology , and finally received his habilitation in chemistry from the Łódź University of Technology . Wiśniewski has been working as a computer scientist in a chemoinformatics company in Germany since 1987 . In 1998 he published an essay on the Beilstein system .

His novel S @ motność w sieci was filmed in 2006 by Witold Adamek with music by Ketil Bjørnstad and the actors Magdalena Cielecka , Andrzej Chyra , Agnieszka Grochowska , Elżbieta Czyżewska , Jan Englert , Marek Kondrat and the writer himself. In 2007 the book was published in English translation as Loneliness on the net . Meanwhile Wiśniewski's books have been translated into Italian, Croatian, Bulgarian, Russian, Ukrainian, Latvian, Lithuanian, Czech, Slovak, Albanian and Vietnamese. A German version of Wiśniewski's novel Bikini is expected at the end of 2011.
