Jared Emerson-Johnson
Jared Nathaniel Emerson-Johnson (born October 13, 1981 in San Francisco ) is an American video game music composer , sound designer , voice actor and director . He is the musical director and lead composer for Bay Area Sound, a video game sound production company .
Life
Emerson-Johnson began his career as assistant to composer Clint Bajakian for the game Indiana Jones and the Legend of the Imperial Crypt by LucasArts . He also worked as a sound designer for projects such as 007 - All or Nothing , The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King and Psychonauts . He has also been working for Telltale Games since 2005 and has so far composed the music for Bone , Sam & Max , Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People , Wallace & Gromit's Grand Adventures , Poker Night at the Inventory , Back to the Future: The Game , Jurassic Park: The Game , The Walking Dead (computer game) and The Wolf Among Us .
In all three seasons of Sam & Max he plays the COPS, a group of obsolete computers, and in Tales of Monkey Island he plays the thief Marquis DeSinge .
In 2004, Emerson-Johnson won the Game Audio Network Guild's Rookie of the Year award . His work for Bone: The Great Cow Race brought him to the finals of the Independent Games Festival in 2007. In addition, in 2008 his work for Sam & Max: Season Two reached the final of the IGN PC Awards. In 2009 he received an AdventureGamers.com Aggie Award for best sound design in the game Tales of Monkey Island .
