Jared Scott Gilmore (born May 30, 2000 in San Diego , California ) is an American child actor and actor , best known for his roles as Bobby Draper in Mad Men and as Henry Mills in Once Upon a Time .

life and career

Jared Gilmore was born in San Diego, California in May 2000. He made his first experiences at a young age in several commercials , including one for McDonald’s . He made his actor debut in 2008 in an episode of the crime series Without a Trace , which was followed by a guest appearance in the eighth episode of the first and only season of Eleventh Hour . Between 2008 and 2009 he appeared on the late night show Talkshow with Spike Feresten as the young version of host Bill O'Reilly . 2009 followed a role alongside Ariel Winter in the comedy Opposite Day , as well as a recurring supporting role as Bobby Draper in AMC - drama series Mad Men . For the latter, he was able in 2009 along with the rest of the cast a Screen Actors Guild Award in the category Outstanding Performance By An Ensemble in a Drama Series win. In Alan Poul's comedy Plan B for Love , Gilmore starred alongside actors like Jennifer Lopez and Alex O'Loughlin . Also in 2010 he appeared in three episodes of the Hawthorne hospital series , in the film A Nanny for Christmas , and in an episode of the TNT - Dramedy television series Men of a Certain Age . His big breakthrough has the lead role as Henry Mills , which he in October 2011 in the ABC - fantasy series Once Upon a Time - Once upon a time ... plays. For this role he was able to win the award for Best Actor in a TV Series at the Young Artist Awards 2012 .
