Jasmine Hekmati

Jasmin Hekmati (born December 16, 1976 in Tehran ) is a German-Iranian editor , reporter , television presenter and cookbook author .

Life

Jasmin Hekmati grew up as the daughter of a German and an Iranian in Germany. She is married, has two children and lives in Mainz .

education

Hekmati studied Islamic and Middle Eastern studies at the universities of Mainz , Damascus and at SOAS , a college of the University of London . During her studies, she gained her first journalistic experience as a freelancer at ZDF .

Career

After completing her studies, Jasmin Hekmati was a trainee at ZDF. Since 2005 she has been working in the ZDF main editorial office for politics and current affairs and works mainly as an editor and reporter for the programs today - in Europe and international journal . Hekmati has moderated the international journal extra since 2006 as well as the program today - in Europe .
