Jasper Bo Michel Günther (born March 31, 1999 in Herdecke ) is a German basketball player . He is in the squad of the third division UBC Münster .

career

Günther is the offspring of a basketball family: his father Dietmar played in the basketball league in the 1980s and 1990s before he became a coach, his mother Martina also played basketball, his brothers Philip and Per as well, the latter being a national player and long-time playmaker of ratiopharm Ulm is the best-known family member.

He played in the youth department of SG VFK Boele-Kabel, TSV Hagen and for the offspring of Phoenix Hagen . In the 2016/17 season, he also played for the BG Hagen men's team in the 1st regional league. In the summer of 2017 he was signed by Phoenix for the 2. Bundesliga ProA squad . At the end of December 2019 he moved to UBC Münster in the 2nd Bundesliga ProB .

National team

Günther took part in the 2015 European Championship with the German U16 national team.
