Javier Velayos Rodríguez (born April 6, 1987 in Madrid ) is a Spanish football player . The full-back has been under contract with ASA Târgu Mureș since the beginning of 2017 .
Career
Velayos started playing football in Real Madrid's youth at the age of ten . After he had run through all youth teams there, he moved in 2006 to the reserve team of the Royal Real Madrid Castilla , which at the time played in the second Spanish division, the Segunda División . After relegation in 2007 he played with the team in the third division, the Segunda División B , where he was used in a good half of the games. The ascent was just missed.
In the summer of 2010, Velayos left Real Madrid and joined the reserve team of local rivals Getafe FC , which also played in Segunda División B. A year later, the Romanian first division club FC Brașov signed him . There he became a regular in the defense and was able to place himself twice in the midfield of the league with his new club. In the summer of 2013 he joined the league competitor CFR Cluj , with whom he qualified for the Europa League in the 2013/14 season . In the summer of 2014 he was transferred to ASA Târgu Mureș . There he was part of the starting line-up in the first five games of the season, then found himself on the bench and only played one more time until the end of the season. During the 2015/16 season he fought his way back into the team before an injury threw him back in February 2016.
In August 2016, Velayos was loaned to Racing de Ferrol in the Spanish Segunda División B until the end of the year .
