Jaymar Johnson (* 10. July 1984 in Gary , Indiana ) is a former American American football poker players on the position of wide receiver . He played for the Minnesota Vikings in the National Football League (NFL).

Career

college

Johnson attended Jackson State University , where he played for the college football team there, the Jackson State Tigers . In his first game he met the team from Alabama State University , where his later teammate Tarvaris Jackson ran up. He developed into an important pillar of his team and played every game for the last three seasons. He was Jackson State University's first drafted player in eight years.

NFL

In the 2008 NFL Draft , the Minnesota Vikings selected Johnson as the 193rd player in the penultimate round. During the preparation he was released from the team, but returned a short time later. Nevertheless, in his rookie year he was mainly in the practice squad . In 2009 Johnson made his debut against the Green Bay Packers . Before the season started, Coach Brad Childress praised his attitude as he put on eight kilos at the request of the coach.
