Jean-Baptiste Claudel
Jean-Baptiste Claudel CSsR (born January 26, 1876 in Colroy-la-Roche , Alsace , † December 12, 1955 ) was a Roman Catholic religious and apostolic vicar of Reyes in Bolivia .
Life
Jean-Baptiste Claudel joined the Congregation of the Redemptorists in and put on 8 September 1896, the profession from. On August 4, 1901, he received the sacrament of ordination .
Pope Pius XII appointed him on July 14, 1943 titular Bishop of Antandrus and first Vicar Apostolic of the Apostolic Vicariate Reyes established in the previous year . The apostolic nuncio in Bolivia, Archbishop Egidio Lari , donated him episcopal ordination on September 12 of the same year. Co- consecrators were the Archbishop of La Paz , Abel Isidoro Antezana y Rojas CMF , and the Bishop of Oruro , Ricardo Chávez Alcazar .
