Abel Isidoro Antezana y Rojas CMF (born May 13, 1886 in Tarata , † November 27, 1968 ) was a Roman Catholic Archbishop of La Paz .

Life

Abel Isidoro Antezana y Rojas joined the order of the Claretians and was ordained a priest on May 31, 1909 . Pius XI. appointed him on May 19, 1924 Bishop of Cochabamba . The Pope appointed him Bishop of Oruro on November 13, 1924 .

He was ordained bishop by the apostolic nuncio in Venezuela , Filippo Cortesi , on July 25th, March 15th of the following year; Co- consecrators were Luigi Francesco Pierini OFM , Archbishop of Sucre .

Pius XI. appointed him Bishop of La Paz on January 16, 1938 . With the elevation to the archbishopric on June 18, 1943 he was appointed archbishop. He attended all the sessions of the Second Vatican Council . After resigning as Archbishop on April 5, 1967, the Pope appointed him titular Archbishop of Sinna .
