Jean-Marie Lemerle

Jean-Marie Lemerle (born January 7, 1947 ) is a former French car racing driver and racing team owner.

Career in motorsport

Jean-Marie Lemerle was active as a sports car driver in the 1970s and 1980s . He ran his own small racing team in national races, in the sports car world championship and in the Le Mans 24-hour race . Between 1975 and | In 1983 he competed eight times in Le Mans. His debut race, with his partners Alain Levié and Patrick Daire in the Lola T292 , he finished 22nd overall. He achieved his best placement in 1982 with 12th place

Apart from Le Mans, he mainly took part in races of the sports car world championship races in France. His best result in a final classification was 17th in the 6-hour race in Dijon in 1979 .
