Jean-Paul Mathieu

Jean-Paul Mary Mathieu (born August 23, 1940 in Hadol ) is a French clergyman and emeritus Roman Catholic Bishop of Saint-Dié .

Life

Jean-Paul Mary Mathieu was ordained a priest on April 11, 1966 .

Pope Benedict XVI appointed him on December 14, 2005 Bishop of Saint-Dié . The Archbishop of Besançon , André Jean René Lacrampe IdP , donated him episcopal ordination on January 22nd of the next year ; Co - consecrators were Paul-Marie Joseph André Guillaume , Former Bishop of Saint-Dié, and Armand Maillard , Bishop of Laval .

Pope Francis accepted his age-related resignation on June 15, 2016.
