Jean-Philippe Daurelle (born December 28, 1963 in Antony ) is a former French saber fencer and today's fencing trainer.
successes
Jean-Philippe Daurelle was world champion with the team in Cape Town in 1997 and in Seoul in 1999 . With the team he also won bronze in Denver in 1989 and silver in La Chaux-de-Fonds in 1998 . In 1999 he won bronze individually. In 1992 in Lisbon and in 1995 in Keszthely he was also vice European champion . In Plovdiv he also won bronze in 1998 . He took part in the Olympic Games twice: at the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona he was defeated by the team in the semi-finals to Hungary with 1: 9, but subsequently prevailed in the battle for third place against Romania with 9: 4. In addition to Daurelle, the team also included Franck Ducheix , Pierre Guichot , Hervé Granger-Veyron and Jean-François Lamour . In the individual he finished ninth. 1996 in Atlanta he was fifth with the team, while he finished the individual competition in twelfth place.
After his active career he started working as a fencing trainer. In 2013 he became national coach of the French men's saber team, and in 2016 he also took over the women's team.
