Jean-Yves Riocreux (born February 24, 1946 in Marlhes ) is a French clergyman and bishop of Basse-Terre et Pointe-à-Pitre .

Life

The Bishop of Tulle , Jean-Baptiste Brunon PSS , ordained him a deacon on March 31, 1974 and a priest of the Archdiocese of Nouméa on June 22, 1974 .

Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Pontoise on May 5, 2003 . The Archbishop of Paris , Jean-Marie Cardinal Lustiger , donated him episcopal ordination on June 29 of the same year ; Co - consecrators were René-Marie Ehuzu CIM , Bishop of Abomey , and Michel-Marie-Bernard Calvet SM , Archbishop of Nouméa. As a motto he chose Avance au large! .

He was appointed Bishop of Basse-Terre et Pointe-à-Pitre on June 15, 2012, and was introduced to the office on September 30 of the same year.
