Jean Negulesco
Jean Negulesco (born February 26, 1900 in Craiova , Romania , † July 18, 1993 in Marbella ) was an American painter and film director of Romanian descent.
Life
Negulesco was nominated for an Oscar for best director in 1949 for the film Silent Lips . The film received twelve nominations; Negulesco himself came away empty-handed, only Jane Wyman was allowed to receive the award for best actress.
Negulesco was later honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame . From 1947 until his death in July 1993 he was married to the actress Dusty Anderson (* 1918).
