Jeannette Gotte

Jeannette Götte (born March 13, 1979 in Hagen ) is a German former soccer player . The midfielder played for Bundesliga club SG Wattenscheid 09 .

Career

Her career began at the SF Westfalia Hagen club. In 1996 she moved to SG Hillen, with whom she was promoted to the Bundesliga in 1999. Immediately after the promotion, SG Hillen merged with SuS Concordia Flaesheim to form FFC Flaesheim-Hillen . On March 16, 2000, she made her debut for the national team in a friendly against the Netherlands . In the summer of 2000 she drove to the Olympic Games in Sydney with the DFB team and won the bronze medal. With her club she reached the cup final in 2001 , but lost with her team to 1. FFC Frankfurt with 1: 2. A short time later, the FFC Flaesheim-Hillen filed for bankruptcy and Götte moved to FCR 2001 Duisburg . With Duisburg she was in the cup final in 2003, which was lost against 1. FFC Frankfurt 1-0. Since 2003 she played for Wattenscheid 09, with whom she was promoted to the Bundesliga in 2007 and immediately relegated. During the winter break of the 2008/09 season, she terminated her contract for professional reasons.

For winning the bronze medal at the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney, she and the German Olympic football team were awarded the silver laurel leaf by Federal President Johannes Rau .

After a four-year break, she is actively playing soccer again and has joined the 1. FFC Recklinghausen .

Jeannette Götte currently works as an IT specialist in the IT department of a furniture store.
