A lot of coal is a film by director Adolf Winkelmann from 1981 with Detlev Quandt , Uli Heucke , Hermann Lause , Martin Lüttge and Tana Schanzara in the leading roles. However, this studio sound used a lot of coal original sound.
action
Katlewski is in his mid-twenties and a miner from Recklinghausen . One day he disappears and wanders a week through the underground routes to a Dortmund colliery, where he is found ten days later, totally disturbed. Katlewski can no longer cope with his old life and has to pay off a loan in addition to his failed marriage in order to be able to close it. While looking for a shower, he meets the young Ulli, who lives in a sublet with the Grueten family, and falls in love with her. At the bank he shows her that it doesn't work to cancel the loan without cash. Katlewski tries to earn the money through various odd jobs, such as doorman or truck driver, but keeps quitting. Eventually, he takes the money from a previous employer and repays the loan. On a construction site, he appropriates a chainsaw and drives a stolen truck to Recklinghausen one last time. "The day comes when the saw wants to saw."
