Eachbachermühle is a district of the municipality of Thanstein in the Upper Palatinate district of Schwandorf in Bavaria .

Geographical location

Eachbachermühle is located in the Schwarzachtal about four kilometers southwest of Thanstein at the end of a narrow cleared area, which curves first to the west, then to the south to the Schwarzachtal . In the north, east and south of eachbachermühle there is an extensive forest area with the Rösselberg (576 m), the Plattenschlag (615 m), the Lower and Upper Eibenstein (566 m), the Stockinger Berg (582 m) and the Red Mountain (633 m). There is also a large forest area with the 586 meter high Bockskirn to the west of Jedbachermühle.

history

Eachbachermühle was first mentioned in writing in 1631 as a mill belonging to eachbach , then recorded in 1661 as desolate and burned down. As of March 23, 1913 (Easter), Jedbachermühle was listed as part of the Thanstein parish with two houses and 41 residents. In 1964 Dautersdorf was an independent municipality with the towns of Dautersdorf, Holzhaus, Allesbach, Jedbachermühle, Runde and Vormurnthal. In 1972 eachbachermühle was incorporated into the municipality of Thanstein as part of the dissolved municipality of Dautersdorf. On December 31, 1990, eachbachermühle had 9 residents and belonged to the parish of Thanstein.
