history

Ziegelhütte was mentioned as an Aussiedlerhof as early as 1811 .

According to an ordinance of 1808, the district court of Neunburg vorm Wald was geographically divided into 55 tax districts, which should form the basis for a standardization and reorganization of the tax system in Bavaria. Kulz formed a tax district with the villages of Kulz, Prackendorf, Holzhaus and Ziegelhütte.

In 1820 rural communities were formed. This created the rural community Kulz, which consisted of the village of Kulz with 76 families and the desert brick hut with one family.

The formation of communities in the 19th century, which led to today's communities in the Neunburg district, formed the prerequisite for the development of limited material prosperity and the rational organization of the state. It enabled and promoted the emergence of commercial and craft livelihoods. The forerunners of the political communities were the Hofmarken and country estate.

On March 23, 1913 (Easter), Ziegelhütte was listed as part of the Kulz branch of the Dieterskirchen parish with three houses and 21 residents.

In 1964 Kulz was an independent community with the towns of Kulz, Kiesenberg, Krähhof, Neudeck and Ziegelhütte. In 1978, Ziegelhütte was incorporated into the Thanstein community as part of the Kulz community.

On December 31, 1990, Ziegelhütte had 22 residents and belonged to the Kulz branch of the Dieterskirchen parish.
