Leipnitz is a village in the Leipzig district in Saxony . Politically, the place has belonged to Grimma since the beginning of 2011 . It lies between Böhlen and Zeunitz .

history

Leipnitz was first mentioned in a document in 1259/66 as "Albertus plebanus de Lipeniz". In 1277, at the request of Peter Ritter von Horwat and his wife, the Lords of Colditz gave the monastery Buch two hooves in Lipnitz , who had Peter as a fief and his wife as personal belongings, to the brothers of the Church in Buch with all rights, after Peter and his wife that had left in their hands (S / K 66).
