Jeev Milkha Singh (born December 15, 1971 in Chandigarh , India ) is an Indian professional golfer of the European Tour and the Asian Tour . He is the son of the famous Indian athlete Milkha Singh and the first Indian to become a member of the European Tour.
In the early 1990s , Singh was in the United States and won several amateur tournaments. He became a professional golfer in 1993 and secured his first win at a regional event, the Southern Oklahoma State Open . After that he played mainly on the Asian Tour and regional Asian tournaments, where he was able to record further successes. In the fall of 1997, Singh qualified through the Tour School for the European Tour and was best placed 50th in the money list of the 1999 season. After that he struggled with several injuries, and in April 2006 he made it to Arjun as the second Indian Atwal won the major European tournament series, the Volvo China Open , an event that was co-hosted with the Asian Tour. By winning the Volvo Masters , the prestigious final tournament of the European Tour in October 2006, Singh set a temporary high point in his career and was ranked 16th in the European Tour Order of Merit . He also made the Asian Tour money list of the seasons To be won in 2006 and 2008.
