Yekaterina Dmitrijewna Belova ( Russian Екатерина Дмитриевна Белова , born January 21, 1988 in Novouralsk ) is a former Russian short tracker .

The 2005 Junior World Championship was their first international championship. She started there in the season, which was eliminated in the run-up. In the 2005/06 season she did not start in the World Cup, but took part in two highlights of the season. At the European Championships in Krynica-Zdrój she reached the final with the relay and was fourth, at the World Championships in Minneapolis she started over three individual distances, but was eliminated in each case in the preliminary run. In the 2006/07 season Belowa finally made her debut in the World Cup, took part in a total of five World Cups and reached the quarter-finals several times as the best placement in individual races. In the discipline world cup over 500 m, she was eighth. With the relay she was also second in Heerenveen and reached a World Cup podium for the first time. At the European Championships in Sheffield she experienced her most successful title fights. Belowa was eighth in the all-around competition, and she won her first international medal over 500 m with bronze. She also finished seventh over 3000 m. She also started at the Junior World Championships in Mladá Boleslav , where she surprisingly won bronze in the 500 m, and at the World Championships in Milan . There she reached the semi-finals as the best result over 1500 m. At the team world championships in Budapest she finished seventh with her teammates.

In the 2007/08 season Belowa was able to achieve another World Cup podium position in the relay with third place. The European Championship in Ventspils was less successful than last year. In the all- around competition she reached 16th place. In Harbin she started again at the team world championship , but only finished eighth and last. In the 2008/09 season Belowa reached the semifinals over 500 m at the first World Cup in Salt Lake City , which should remain her best result in a single race. At the European Championships in Turin , she was able to move into the final in the relay, where the quartet was then disqualified.

In her last season in 2009/10 , Belowa only started in the first half of the season in the World Cup, but could not achieve any top placements. She took part in the European Championship in Dresden , where she won the silver medal in the relay. After failing to qualify for the Olympic Games , Belowa ended her active career.
