Yekaterina Vladimirovna Schichowa ( Russian Екатерина Владимировна Шихова ; born June 25, 1983 in Kirov ) is a Russian speed skater . She started ice skating at the age of seven. Your preferred distances are the 1000 and 1500 meters and the all-around.

At the 2010 Olympic Games in Vancouver , she reached 11th place over the 1000-meter course and 8th place over the 1500-meter course. At the speed skating single-distance world championships in 2009 , she finished fourth in the team competition. At the speed skating single-distance world championships in 2011 in Inzell , she achieved fourth place over 1500 meters, her best position so far at a single-distance world championship.

In 2013 she won bronze in the small four-way battle at the all- around world championships in Hamar .
