World Speed ​​Skating Individual Distance Championships 2011

The 13th individual distance world championship was held from March 10th to 13th, 2011 in the Max Aicher Arena (formerly Ludwig-Schwabl-Eisstadion) in Inzell . It was the first major event in the completely renovated ice rink.

Program and schedule

The individual distance world championship was the last competition and the highlight of the 2010/11 season. The world championship titles were awarded over the individual Olympic routes. Women and men each held six competitions. The women measured themselves over 2x 500 m, 1000 m, 1500 m, 3000 m and 5000 m as well as in the team pursuit (six laps), the men measured over 2x 500 m, 1000 m, 1500 m, 5000 m and 10000 m and also in the team pursuit (eight laps).

Attendees

Up to 24 athletes took part in the individual disciplines, only 16 athletes were allowed over 5000 m for women and 10,000 m for men. Eight teams were each qualified for the team pursuit. In total, athletes from 21 nations were able to qualify.
