Karl Linz

Karl Linz (born May 23, 1869 in Bingerbrück ; † in the 20th century) was a German lawyer.

Life

After graduating from high school in Kreuznach, Karl Linz studied law in 1888. After completing his studies, he joined the Prussian judicial service in 1892. In 1896 he became a court assessor and in 1901 a local judge in Völklingen . In 1906 he was appointed judge at the Saarbrücken regional court and in 1910 as a judge at the higher regional court in Frankfurt am Main .

In 1919 Karl Linz was appointed to the Reich Judicial Council at the Reich Court of Leipzig . In 1932 he was appointed Senate President at the Reich Court with responsibility for the 5th civil senate , the III. Civil Senate as well as the 8th Civil Senate .

Karl Linz was a founding member of the judges' association at the Reichsgericht in 1922 and has been a board member ever since. He was also a member of the State Court of Justice for the German Reich from 1922 . Until about 1923 he was a member of the center .

Linz was chairman of the German Association of Judges from May 30, 1930 until its dissolution and the last general meeting on December 15, 1933 . Karl Linz became a member of the Academy for German Law . In 1938 he was appointed President of the Senate i. R. appointed honorary member of the Reichsgruppenrat Judges and Public Prosecutors.

He was married and had two children. He was a member of the Catholic student associations KDStV Ripuaria Bonn , KDStV Burgundia (Leipzig) Düsseldorf and KDStV Hasso-Nassovia Frankfurt am Main in the CV .
