Albert von Kenne

Albert von Kenne (born March 19, 1918 in Gebroth ; † February 29, 2000 in Bad Kreuznach ) was a German lawyer .

Life

Von Kenne was born as the son of a pastor in Gebroth. He attended high school in Bad Kreuznach and then studied law at the universities of Heidelberg and Geneva . He passed his first state examination in 1940. At that time he had already been called up for military service. After the end of the war he was able to continue his training from 1945. He completed his legal traineeship and passed the second state examination in April 1949 .

He then entered the judge's career and worked as a district judge and district judge in Rhineland-Palatinate . In 1961 he was appointed higher regional judge in Koblenz , and in July 1962 he was appointed regional court director in Bad Kreuznach. In May 1968, as President of the Senate, he initially chaired a criminal senate at the Koblenz Higher Regional Court . In 1969 he was the chairman of a civil senate and was also a permanent representative of the President of the Higher Regional Court. In the autumn of the same year he took over the management of the Mainz Regional Court as President.

From 1973 to 1977 von Kenne was chairman of the German Association of Judges . After he applied for the replacement of the chairman of the German Association of Judges after two terms in office in 1977, he was appointed an honorary member of the DRB at the representatives' meeting on May 11, 1977 in Gelsenkirchen.

He was also vice president of the international judges' association .
