Jelena Jurjewna Terechowa ( Russian Елена Юрьевна Терехова , English transcription Elena Terekhova ; born July 5, 1987 in Voronezh , Russian SFSR , Soviet Union ) is a Russian football player . The striker took part in the 2009 and 2013 European championships with the Russian national team.

Athletic career

Terekhova's first position in the adult sector was Ryazan VDV in 2005 , after which she moved to Spartak Moscow . After just one season she moved to the US Women's Premier Soccer League for FC Indiana , but returned after just one season to Russia for FK Rossijanka . There she won the national cup twice . In 2010 she moved to Energija Voronezh before returning to Ryazan VDW in 2012.

As a junior national player Terechowa contributed at the U-19 European Championship 2005 on the side of Jelena Danilowa , Xenija Zybutowitsch and Jelena Morosowa to the first title of the national association at youth level with women. In 2004 she made her debut in the Russian senior team. National coach Igor Shalimov called her into the squad for the 2009 European Championships, where she made a short appearance in the group stage in the 3-0 defeat against Sweden . In 2013 she was in the squad of national coach Sergei Lavrentjew , here too she played all three tournament games of the selection until she was eliminated at the end of the group stage, in a 1-1 draw against Spain she scored the Russian goal.
