Jelena Igorewna Morosowa ( Russian Елена Игоревна Морозова , English transcription Elena Morozova ; born March 15, 1987 in Iwanowo , Russian SFSR , Soviet Union ) is a Russian football player . The striker took part in the 2009 and 2013 European championships with the Russian national team.

Athletic career

Morosova's first position in the adult sector was Energija Voronezh from 2002 , two years later she joined the FK Rossijanka . After only one season she moved on to Ryazan WDW , but again returned to FK Rossijanka after only one season. In 2006 and 2010 she won the double from the Russian championship title and the national cup with the club , the latter she also won in 2008 and 2009. In 2012 she moved to FC Sorki Krasnogorsk .

As a junior national player at the U-19 European Championship in 2005 , alongside Jelena Danilowa , Xenija Zybutowitsch and Jelena Terechowa, she contributed to the national association's first title win at youth level among women, in the final she turned in a 6-5 win over France on penalties their penalty kick. In 2004 she made her debut in the Russian senior team. National coach Igor Shalimov called her into the squad for the 2009 European Championship, where she was used in the group stage in all three games. In 2013 she was in the squad of national coach Sergei Lavrentjew , here too she played all three tournament games of the selection until she was eliminated at the end of the group stage. In the 1: 3 opening defeat against France she scored the consolation goal .
