The Jelowka ( Russian Ело́вка ) is a left tributary of the Kamchatka on the Kamchatka Peninsula .
The Jelowka rises south of the Jelowski shield volcano on the eastern flank of the Sredinny ridge . It initially flows in an easterly direction, but then turns south and flows parallel to the Sredinny ridge to its confluence west of Klyuchi into the Kamchatka . The Jelowka has a length of 244 km and drains an area of 8240 km².
In the Jelowka you can find rainbow trout , the char Salvelinus leucomaenis and grayling all year round. Various salmon fish use the river as a spawning area, including sockeye salmon , ketal salmon , pink salmon and silver salmon .
