Jens-Uwe Zöphel (born June 23, 1969 in Prenzlau ) is a former German soccer player .

Athletic career

Jens-Uwe Zöphel began his sporting career at the BSG unit Templin with the first instructor Gerd Wegner. In the youth sector, he made the leap into the youth department of FC Dynamo in Berlin . The ten-time U18 junior national player offered himself to the 1st team via the second representation of the BFC, which was represented in the second highest division, the league .

In the league he completed after his debut in November 1988 until the dissolution of the East German league system in the summer of 1991 with the Berliners 19 league games. Zöphel made his debut in the team of the ten-time GDR soccer champions on matchday 12 of the 1988/89 season in a 1-1 home game against FC Carl Zeiss Jena . From November 2006 to 2010 Zöphel played for MSV 19 Rüdersdorf and then moved to the local neighbor SV 1919 Woltersdorf, where he ended his football career in 2013.
