Jens Bisky

Jens Bisky (born August 13, 1966 in Leipzig ) is a German journalist and book author .

Life

Jens Bisky is the eldest son of the politician Lothar Bisky ; a younger brother is the painter Norbert Bisky . After graduating from high schoolImmanuel Kant ” in Berlin , Bisky performed voluntarily extended military service as a temporary officer in the National People's Army from 1985 , which he finished as a lieutenant . He then worked at the youth radio station DT64 in Berlin in 1989/1990 .

Then Bisky completed a degree in cultural studies and German studies , which he completed with a Magister Artium . He then did his doctorate in art history with a thesis on classicist and romantic architectural aesthetics. Bisky is a senior editor in the features section of the Süddeutsche Zeitung and a member of the PEN Center Germany .
