Jens Kruppa (born June 3, 1976 in Freital ) is a German swimmer .

Career

He swims for the SC Riesa in his special disciplines 100 m and 200 m chest .

At the Olympic Games in Sydney in 2000 , he won the bronze medal with the 4 × 100 m layer relay . At the following Olympic Games in Athens in 2004 , he reached the semi-finals over 100 m breaststroke and swam a new German record . However, there was not enough time for the final. With the 4 × 100 m layer relay, he achieved the silver medal in a new European record time .

For this he received the silver bay leaf on March 16, 2005.
