Jeremy Piasecki

Jeremy Piasecki (born September 21, 1978 in New York City ) is a former American water polo player , today's coach and also a reserve soldier in the US Navy .

Life

Piasecki was born in New York City, but grew up in Newport Beach near Fallbrook . He attended Corona del Mar High School and Orange Coast College . Jeremy Piasecki is married to Leilani Piasecki, who is the chairwoman of the Afghan national water polo team , and has a daughter and a son with her.

Piasecki was part of the Corona del Mar water polo team , which won bronze at the US Youth Olympic Water Polo Games in 1992. He also trained the eventual winners at the Olympic Games Amanda Beard , Jason Lezak and Aaron Peirsol at the Irvine Novaquatics .

In January 2008 he was deployed to an Afghan Army base near Kabul as an administrative advisor to the US Navy. At the end of 2008 he then founded the Afghan national water polo team near the base.
