  • Addis Ababa / Ethiopia : The African Union wants to intervene after the controversial presidential election and election fraud allegations and the unrest in Kenya .
  • Islamabad / Pakistan : The parliamentary elections scheduled for January 8, 2008 in Pakistan will be postponed to February 18. Head of the electoral commission Qazi Mohammed Farooq justified this decision with the chaos after the murder of opposition leader Benazir Bhutto.
