Jeremy Sinden

Jeremy Sinden (born June 14, 1950 in London , † May 29, 1996 ) was a British actor .

Life

Jeremy Sinden was the son of the actor Sir Donald Sinden and his wife Diana Mahoney. His younger brother Marc also became an actor. Sinden studied at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art and worked as a stage manager at the Pitlocking Festival Theater in Scotland in 1969 . From 1970 to 1972 he toured with the Royal Shakespeare Company . Sinden made his stage debut at London's Mermaid Theater, where he appeared in the play Journey's End (The Other Side) by RC Sherriff . He had other roles on stage in Othello , Cyrano de Bergerac , Wind in the Willows and An ideal Husband .

In 1977 Sinden had his first film appearances as a gold squadron pilot Tiree in Star Wars and in the same year married Delia Lindsay, with whom he had two daughters. During the late 1970s, Sinden starred in a few films and on TV series until he returned to the theater in the early 1980s. He has starred in films, TV series and plays such as French Without Tears , Spin of the Wheel , Fairly Secret Army , Lord Peter Wimsey , Lord Mountbatten: The Last Victory , After the War , Ascendancy and Madame Sousatzka . Sinden also acted as a speaker for several audio books.

He died of lung cancer in London in 1996 at the age of 45 .
