Jerry Hallback

Jerry Hallbäck (born December 16, 1968 ) is a Swedish handball coach , handball official and former handball player .

The circle runner played for the Swedish clubs IK Heim and Mölndals HF. With Redbergslids IK he won the Swedish championship in 1993, 1995, 1996, 1997, 1998, 2000 and 2001 . Internationally, he played with the Gothenburg club in the EHF Champions League and the European Cup Winners' Cup .

In the Swedish national team Jerry Hallbäck made his debut in 1992. At the 1993 World Cup , he won the bronze medal. At the European Championships in 1994 he beat the world champions Russia in the final. By 1995 he played 28 international matches in which he scored 32 goals.

After his career ended, Hallbäck took over the coaching position at HK Aranäs in 2004 . After four years on the sidelines, he became head of sport at IK Sävehof in 2008 . Until he left in 2012, Sävehof was three times champion. From 2012 he was again a trainer at Aranäs. For the 2017/18 season Hallbäck moved to Ystads IF HF , which he coached until the end of the 2019/20 season.

Hallbäck is married and has two sons, Ludvig and Anton. Anton Hallbäck also plays for Aranäs.
