The Yeschuga ( Russian Ежуга ) is a right tributary of the Pinega in the catchment area of the Northern Dvina in Arkhangelsk Oblast and the Komi Republic in northwestern Russia .
The Yeschuga rises on the watershed between Pinega and Vashka in the territory of the Komi Republic. From there it first flows north into Arkhangelsk Oblast, then turns west. A sharp change of direction to the north and later again to the west finally leads the Yeschuga to the Pinega.
The Yeschuga is 165 km long and drains an area of 2850 km². Their annual runoff is largely determined by the spring flood during the snowmelt. The mean discharge at the Shirokoye gauge , 50 km above the mouth, is 21 m³ / s.
The Syrjanskaja Yeschuga , a tributary of the Vashka, rises not far from the Yeschuga source.
