Jesko Friedrich (born April 2, 1974 in Giessen ) is a German actor , editor and author .

Life

Friedrich moved to Lübeck with his family at the age of six . In 1993 he completed his Abitur at the Johanneum , after which he studied history and German in Göttingen .

In 2004 Friedrich received his doctorate from the University of Göttingen with a thesis on the subject of “Phraseological Dictionary of Middle High German - Proverbs, idioms and other fixed connections in texts from 1050-1350” .

As early as 1999 Jesko Friedrich wrote a few gags for the Friday Night News . Since an internship at NDR television in 2001, Friedrich has been working as a freelancer in the editorial team of the program Extra 3 . Since 2003 he has been working regularly with Dennis Kaupp for the "Johannes Schlueter" section. Jesko Friedrich slips into the role of Johannes Schlueter, who each time has a different profession (e.g. CDU press spokesman, "Bush pilot", Merkel pilot, combustion flag dealer) and is then interviewed by Kaupp. In 2009 the category was awarded the Grimme Prize .

From 2005 to 2008 Jesko Friedrich and Dennis Kaupp produced their own comedy show Sehr funny for the NDR, both acting as directors, authors and actors. From 2009 to 2012 he was seen together with Kaupp in the show Dennis und Jesko , the successor to Sehr witzig .

Friedrich also had a role in the short film trilogy One Night in Wilhelmsburg (2005, 2006 and 2007).

In 2012 Friedrich and Kaupp published the book "I am too many - the 23 crazy lives of Johannes Schlueter"

In April 2016 , a satirical video about Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan was broadcast as part of extra 3 Friedrich and Kaupps Song Erdowie, Erdowo, Erdogan . The song drew the Böhmermann affair with it.

Kaupp and Friedrich have been working as authors for the format wumms von funk since 2016 . Here they are responsible for satirical sports songs and the cartoon series Monsters of Kreisklasse .

As a draftsman, Friedrich experiments in the genres of cartoon, fantastic art and magical realism. His pictures have been shown in several exhibitions in Bardowick near Lüneburg.

Awards

In 2009 the extra 3-segment "Johannes Schlüter" from Dennis Kaupp and Jesko Friedrich was awarded the Special Grimme Prize.

In 2013, Jesko Friedrich, together with Dennis Kaupp, received the Juliane Bartel Prize for the extra 3 feature film Schlüter: This is how a woman becomes a man .

In 2016 he received the German Comedy Award with an extra 3.

In 2018 Friedrich received the German television award with an extra 3.

In May 2019, the editors of got oomph for the video Monsters of Kreisklasse against religions the Civis .
