Jess Kedwell Vanstrattan (born July 19, 1982 in Gosford ) is an Australian football goalkeeper of Dutch descent.

Career

Jess Vanstrattan moved in 2001 from his native Australia, where he played for Northern Spirit FC , to the Italian club Hellas Verona, which was still in Serie A at the time. For the Veronese he first played in the highest youth team, the Primavera, and showed appealing performances there.

For the 2003/04 season Vanstrattan was loaned to the Serie C2 club US Carrarese . There, however, the Australian was seriously injured on his debut and only played one encounter.

He returned to Hellas Verona in January 2004 and was a substitute goalkeeper for the remainder of the season. In the following season Vanstrattan made his debut for Hellas in Serie B and completed five encounters, in which, however, he had to accept eleven goals.

Also in the 2006/07 season Jess Vanstrattan was only a substitute goalkeeper at Hellas Verona, in January 2007 he was loaned out again to Serie C2, this time to Ancona Calcio , where he again only played one encounter.

In July 2007 Vanstrattan dissolved his contract with Hellas Verona and was signed by Juventus Turin , Verona however protested against the dissolution of the contract, which was granted in early August. The dissolution and thus also the contract with Juve was declared illegal and thus void. Juventus then decided to loan Vanstrattan for the 2007/08 season. In Turin , however, the Australian did not play a competitive game.

In the fall of 2008, he moved back to Australia to Gold Coast United to be recommended for a place on the national team at the 2010 World Cup . In the summer of 2010, he signed a contract with the Central Coast Mariners . At the Mariners, Vanstrattan was in goal for the first three match days before he was out for the rest of the season due to a cruciate ligament rupture and did not get a new contract at the end of the season.
