Jessie Lloyd Tuggle, Jr. (* 4. April 1965 in Griffin , Georgia ) is a former American American football poker players. He played his entire career with the Atlanta Falcons in the National Football League (NFL) in the position of linebacker .

NFL

Tuggle was signed by the Atlanta Falcons as an undrafted free agent after the 1987 NFL Draft . He stayed here until the end of his career after the 2000 season . In total, he scored 1,640 tackles , 21 sacks and six interceptions for the Falcons in these 14 seasons . He also held the NFL record for most touchdowns after fumbled balls until 2009 (5). He also holds the record for having scored the most tackles between the 1990 and 1999 seasons with 1,293.

Personal

Jessie Tuggles eldest son Justin Tuggle is currently (2016) under contract with the Cleveland Browns in the NFL and also plays the position of linebacker. His other son, Grady Jarrett , plays American football as a defensive tackle on the same team as his former father, the Atlanta Falcons . In 2007 he was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame .
