Yevgeny Nikolajewitsch Groschew ( Russian Евгений Николаевич Грошев ; born April 3, 1937 in Moscow , Russian SFSR ; † January 1, 2013 ) was a Soviet - Russian ice hockey player who was active for Krylja Sowetow Moscow in Class A for many years and was Soviet in 1957 Master became. With the Soviet national team , he won the bronze medal at the 1960 Winter Olympics .
Career
Yevgeny Groschew first played ice hockey in a works team before moving to Krylya Sowetow Moscow in 1955 . With Krylja he was Soviet runner-up in 1956 and 1958 and Soviet champion in 1957 . Groschew contributed to these successes with many goals, so that in 1962 he was the top scorer in Class A and was elected to the league's all-star team several times. On January 1, 1959, he was in a game against the USA for the first time for the Soviet national team on the ice and won the silver medal with this at the World Cup of the same year. His international career was crowned with a bronze medal at the 1960 Winter Olympics . For the national team, he scored 10 goals in 25 international matches. On January 21, 1964, he played his last international match. In 1991 he was named the Honored Master of Sports of the USSR .
