Yevgeny Valeryevich Gladskich ( Russian Евгений Валерьевич Гладских * 24. April 1982 in Magnitogorsk , Russian SFSR ) is a former Russian ice hockey player , who throughout his career including for the Metallurg Magnitogorsk , Avangard Omsk , Atlant Mytishchi and Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod in the Russian Super League or Continental Hockey League was active.

Career

Yevgeny Gladskich began his career as a hockey player in his hometown in the youth of HK Metallurg Magnitogorsk , for whose professional team he made his debut in the Russian Super League in the 1999/2000 season . He remained pointless and punished in two games. In the following season the attacker was the first Russian champion with metallurgy. He was then selected in the NHL Entry Draft 2001 in the fourth round as a total of 114 players by the Vancouver Canucks , for which he never played. With Magnitogorsk, the left shooter was able to win the championship again in the 2006/07 season. He was also runner-up with his team in 2004 and won the Spengler Cup in 2005 . At European level, he won the IIHF European Champions Cup with Metallurg in 2008 .

In the summer of 2008 Gladskich moved to HK Awangard Omsk in the newly formed Continental Hockey League , which he left again during the 2008/09 season to play for Atlant Mytishchi . In the following season he ran for HK Metallurg Magnitogorsk . For the 2010/11 season he moved to Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod , but where he could not prevail. In addition to seven appearances in the KHL for Torpedo, he ran in a total of eight games for HK Sarow and Rubin Tyumen in the Wysschaja Hockey League . After almost a year without a club, he was signed in October 2011 by the Ukrainian WHL newcomer HK Donbass Donetsk .
