history

Prinsesse Ragnhild (1966–1980)

The ship was commissioned by Anders Jahre in Sandefjord from Kiel's Howaldtswerke at the end of 1964 and laid down there on July 15, 1965. After being launched on December 18, 1965, the ship was completed on May 28, 1966 and delivered to the client on June 3, 1966. The ship started sailing under the Norwegian flag with home port Sandefjord. After the transfer trip, the new building was put into service with a two-week Nordkapp cruise in June 1966 and later used in the scheduled ferry service between Oslo and Kiel. In the off-season, additional cruises to the Mediterranean and the North Cape were offered in the following years.

Janina (1980-1981)

Before the takeover of the successor ship of the same name , it was renamed Janina in 1980 and used as a barge in Norway.

Ametista (1981)

The following year, the Amatista Shipping Corporation in Monrovia acquired the ship and used it temporarily as an Ametista barge for oil companies in Mexico. The ship sailed under the Liberian flag with its home port Monrovia.

Jing Jang (1981-1983)

As a casino ship Ji Mei in Hong Kong

In 1981 the shipping company COSCO in Xiamen took over the Ametista and renamed her Jin Jang . The ship sailed under the Chinese flag with home port Xiamen . Under the management of the Xiamen Shipping Company in Xiamen, the ship served the route between Xiamen and Hong Kong in the following years.

Ji Mei (since 1983)

The ship served the route between Xiamen and Hong Kong in the following years, renaming it Ji Mei in 1983 . Ji Mei has been offering casino cruises from Hong Kong since 1998 . In 1999 the ship was transferred to the Lutonh Xiamen Shipping Company in Xiamen and in 2000 to the Sky-High Fortune Maritime company, which continues to operate it under the Panamanian flag.
