Jia Qinglin ( Chinese  贾庆林 , Pinyin Jiǎ Qìnglín ) (* 1940 in Botou , China ) is a Chinese politician. He was a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China from 2002 to 2012 and chaired the Political Consultative Conference of the Chinese People from 2003 to 2013 .

Jia Qinglin was considered a controversial cast on the Politburo Standing Committee. Presumably, at Jiang Zemin's instigation, he had entered the Standing Committee. Jia Qinglin's reputation was hurt by the smuggling scandal in Xiamen that occurred during his tenure as party secretary in that province, particularly as his wife was allegedly involved in the scandal.
