The Jiangsu-Nanjing TV Tower is a 318.5-meter-high reinforced concrete TV tower in the Chinese metropolis of Nanjing . The tower located in the Gulou district not far from the small Yangtze River tributary Xicun is open to the public and has a viewing platform and a revolving restaurant at 198 meters . The tower shaft consists of three concrete columns that are horizontally connected to each other at regular intervals. Above the large tower cage there is a second, smaller tower cage at 253 meters, similar to the skypod of the CN Tower .
