Jim Erickson

Jim Erickson (born around 1951 in Minnesota ) is an American-Canadian production designer who has been nominated twice for an Oscar in the category of Best Production Design and received it in 2013 for Lincoln .

Career

Erickson first worked as a production designer for the film Goldfieber in 1982 . Erickson received his first Oscar nomination in 2008 for his work on the film There Will Be Blood . In the same year, he was also nominated for a BAFTA award in the same category . He shared both nominations with Jack Fisk .

In 2012, Jim Erickson was nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award for the television movie Hemingway & Gellhorn . That same year, Erickson worked with Rick Carter on the Lincoln production designs . For this drama, he and Rick Carter received an Oscar in 2013 and a BAFTA Award nomination.

Erickson has lived in Canada and on Saltspring Island since 1974 .
